Nutritional Profile

- Naturally sweet: Made with real fruit and a little maple syrup, with no refined sugar.
- Antioxidant-rich: Berries are packed with antioxidants that help support overall health.
- Omega-3 fats: Chia seeds contain plant-based omega-3 fatty acids that support heart and brain health.
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen organic raspberries
- 4 tbsp chia seeds
- 3 tbsp maple syrup or raw honey
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Add ingredients to saucepan
- Place the frozen berries, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla, and ¼ cup of water into a small saucepan.
Simmer and mash
- Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. As the berries soften, stir and lightly mash them with the back of a spoon to break them down into a chunky purée.
Allow jam to thicken
- Continue stirring as the chia seeds begin to absorb the liquid and the mixture starts to thicken.
Set the jam
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Allow the jam to sit for 10–15 minutes to cool and thicken further. Stir once or twice to ensure the chia seeds haven't clumped up.
Jar & Chill
- Spoon the jam into a clean jar, seal, and place in the fridge until chilled. The jam will continue to thicken as it cools.
-
Jam Flavours: This recipe works beautifully with raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, or a mix of berries.
-
Sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter jam, simply add a little more maple syrup to taste.
-
Texture: For a smoother jam, mash the berries more as they cook. For a chunkier jam, leave some berries whole.
-
Storage: Store the jam in a clean, sealed jar in the refrigerator, up to 1 week. Always use a clean spoon when serving to help keep the jam fresh.
