Health Benefits

Supports digestive health
Chia seeds are naturally rich in fibre, helping to support healthy digestion, promote regular bowel movements and nourish your beneficial gut bacteria.
Helps keep you feeling fuller for longer
The combination of protein, healthy fats and fibre slows digestion, supporting more stable energy levels.
Rich in antioxidants
Berries are packed with powerful antioxidants called anthocyanins, which help protect your cells from oxidative stress while supporting heart, brain and healthy ageing.
Complete plant protein from hemp seeds
Unlike many plant foods, hemp seeds contain all nine essential amino acids, making them a complete protein. They also provide healthy omega-3 and omega-6 fats, magnesium and iron to support energy production, muscle repair and overall wellbeing.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen blueberries or mixed berries
  • cups unsweetened Greek yoghurt or unsweetened coconut yoghurt for a dairy-free option
  • cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 3 tbsp raw honey or pure maple syrup for a vegan option
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 12 tbsp chia seeds
  • 6 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 6 screw top jars

Optional Toppings

  • Extra Greek or coconut yoghurt
  • Fresh berries or any fresh fruit
  • Shredded coconut or coconut flakes
  • Raw nuts like pistachios, walnuts, pecans
  • Almond butter drizzle

Instructions

  1. Add the frozen berries, yoghurt, milk, honey, vanilla, cinnamon and sea salt to a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Divide the berry mixture evenly between six jars.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of chia seeds and 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds to each jar. Stir thoroughly, making sure the seeds are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  4. Allow the jars to sit for 5 minutes, then stir again to break up any clumps and prevent the chia seeds from settling.
  5. Secure the lids and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, until thickened.
  6. Serve with extra yoghurt, berries, shredded coconut or coconut flakes, chopped pistachios or walnuts, or a drizzle of almond butter.

For a smoother texture

  1. Add the chia and hemp seeds to the blender with the berry mixture and blend until smooth. Divide evenly between six jars, secure the lids and refrigerate as above.
