Nutritional Profile

Wholesome Human Hero Ingredient: Grapefruit
Grapefruit is a nutritional powerhouse, packed with vitamins A and C, potassium, fibre, and antioxidants. It’s great for boosting immune and heart health while helping to balance blood sugar levels. Plus, its low carb content makes it ideal for weight loss.
Note: Grapefruit can interact with certain medications, so be sure to check if it’s suitable for you. Use oranges in place of recipes that ask for grapefruits if needed.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups lettuce greens of choice
  • 2 medium-large Pink Grapefruits, peeled and chopped
  • 1 large avocado, diced
  • ½ cup goat’s feta cheese, creamy variety
  • ¼ cup pumpkin and sunflower seed mix, raw or toasted
  • 2 ½ tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Season with sea salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. MIX all salad ingredients except the feta and seeds in a large bowl.
  2. TOP with feta and the seeds and combine gently.
  3. WHISK the oil, lemon juice, and salt in a small bowl and pour over the salad.

Inspiration and tips

  • Swap Grapefruits with Oranges if not suitable for those on certain medications.
  • Choose a creamier feta rather than a sharper variety.
  • Seeds can be swapped with pecans or hazelnut halves. Try toasting and cooling before adding to the salad.
